Overload / Unbalanced Load Detection Device

Overload/Unbalanced load detecting device adopts continuous steel rail structure of railway main line and uses the combination of gravity sensor and shear force sensor to measure force in a multi-dimensional method. Stress state of an individual wheel and its waveform and trajectory can be measured. It obtains datum of axle weight, bogie weight, wagon weight, overload, unbalanced load, gravity center, and offset. It can complete a series of relevant task including data storage, statistics at different stages, report preparation, printing, alarming and network sharing.

 

Technical features and performance:

1. Mechanical support part

The mechanical support part consists of concrete sleepers. Between sleepers, removable joint plate is used to form planar load-bearing structure which will help to efficiently reduce negative effects on force measuring caused by uneven railway line. Pad type gravity sensor has advantages of tight connection, simple structure, high strength and low maintenance workload.

Mechanical structure performance index:

 (1) Enough strength and rigidity, stable measuring performance, reliable and no hidden dangers for traveling.

 (2) Weighing load for each wagon is 100t and design safety load is 200t.

 (3) Ensures insulation of track circuit.

 (4)Lightning protection and large current discharge measures; grounding resistance is less than 4Ω.

2. Weighing accuracy

 (1) In compliance with national JJG(Railway) 129-2004 Detecting Device for Overload and Unbalanced Load of Railway Wagons;

(2) When weighing at the traveling speed of 40km/h or below, weighing accuracy shall be less than or equal to 0.5%.

 (3) When weighing at the traveling speed of 40~60km/h, weighing accuracy shall be less than or equal to 1%.

 (4) Scope for front bogie and rear bogie unbalanced load deviation shall be less or equal to 400kg when weighing at the traveling speed of 40km/h (or below 40km/h).

(5)Less than or equal to 800kg when weighing at the traveling of 40~60km/h.

Absolute value of front bogie and rear bogie average unbalanced value minus the respective theoretical value shall be less than or equal to 500kg.

 (7) Absolute value of bogie unbalanced load rate average value minus theoretical value of the rate shall be less than or equal to 5%.

 (8) Absolute value of initial unbalanced load rate for 68t or 76t wagon without weighing vehicle shall be less than or equal to 5%

3. Working temperature
 

Temperature: -45℃ -- +60℃ (outdoor equipment)

  0℃ -- 50℃ (indoor equipment)

Humidity: ≤95%(outdoor equipment), ≤85%(indoor equipment)

4. Auto detection: Automatically detect loading weight, total weight, front & rear unbalanced load, left & right unbalanced load of rolling stock. It can also carry out data storage, phased statistics, overload/unbalanced load alarming, print and real time data upload.

5. Basic information identification: automatically identifies locomotives, wagons and their traveling speed, as well as type of rolling stock, model, number, locomotive number and depots to which they are allocated.

6. Compatibility and scalability: the system can automatically control status parameters of sensor and data acquisition device and realize real time transmission. Windows is adopted as software development platform, while overload/unbalanced detecting software, database software, and network management software are being used.

7. Status monitoring: it can automatically add up numbers of impact on sensor and indicate sensor remaining use life. In case one sensor of a set of sensors damages, signal of other sensor will be relieved, and message will be sent to responsible department for maintenance.

8. Detection method: Two-way fully automated dynamic detection.

9. Stability & safety: Taking reliable lightening protection measures and control room shielding measures, while having anti-electromagnetic interference feature which enables normal operation in the electrification railway section.

10. Data upload: it can be connected to TMIS using optic fiber cable and supports remote data transmission. Channel bandwidth of cable transmission exceeds 2mbit/s.
