Based on CHSR’s ‘Five Combined Methods’ design, level-3 wheel & axle (disassembly and assembly) maintenance line project has been successfully implemented at Wuhan EMU depot. The bogie dynamic test system and wheel & axle non-destructive detection system are the only ones in China which are among world’s most advanced systems.

This level-3 wheel & axle (disassembly & assembly) maintenance line can satisfy wheel set conveying, components disassembly, inspection, oil cleaning, paint stripping, polishing, detection, rinsing, oil filling, oil discharging, paint coating, lathing, components warehousing, components assembly as well as running-in. In order to complete above mentioned processes, following work stations have been provided. Each work station can access wheel set information, produce and display work schedule, and confirm work completion information.
